A few things of note
I'm almost a week late on this as I still am trying to get thru countless calls/transcripts, but it's still very relevant, the macro comments from CDW's earnings call, a major distributor of everything tech, including hardware, software, computer peripherals, cloud computing, mobile devices, network communication, and security solutions. They have about $22b in sales and 250,000 customers and these comments reflect a cautious customer with cloud and security spend outperforming.
"The team continued to execute extremely well under persistently challenged conditions. Commercial markets remained cautious and conditions in international markets worsened, public markets held firm."
"Customers maintain their laser focus on mission critical priorities and optimizing costs...In today's environment where customers are closely scrutinizing their IT spend, our value as a trusted advisor is greater than ever before."
"Commercial market conditions continued to weigh on customer confidence and drive cautious purchasing behavior. Instead of the modest improvement in hardware we expected, we continue to experience pressure particularly in client devices...Corporate topline performance continued to reflect meaningful y/o/y client device declines with ongoing postponement of upgrades and utilization of existing products."
